How exciting, right! Thank you so much Tasya and Shelly! I am truly honored and so sorry it has taken me so long to post this!
What is the Liebster Award?
The Liebster award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 or so followers. What is a Liebster? The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.
Here are the rules for receiving this award:
1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the questions that the tagger set for you plus create 11 questions for the people you’ve tagged to answer.
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them.

11 Random things about me:
1. I lived in the same house from the day I came home from the hospital to the day I left for college and my parents still live there.
2. I love those orange circus peanut candies.
3. I ate an entire regular size bag of Cool Ranch Doritos in one sitting with each of my pregnancies.
4. I am in a Book Club that will celebrate 11 years this August.
5. I am very practical.
6. I attended an all women’s college.
7. I sang in the show choir in High School.
8. I have always wanted to drive an Antique Truck.
9. Purple is my least favorite color.
10. My favorite meal to eat out is breakfast and I always order french toast.
11. I am horribly afraid of heights.

2. Do you believe in soulmates?
Not necessarily the term soulmate. I feel God led me to my husband because we would never have met on our own. Anyone who knew either of us prior to dating and marriage, would not have paired us!

4. If you could live anywhere in the world and money was no object where would you live and why?
We are so blessed to live 20 minutes from both sets of grandparents and my only sister. If we moved, I would want to stay in this area. Maybe move down a long lane with no neighbors in sight where my husband could have his dream shop and I could have a greenhouse.
5. Who was your celebrity teen crush?
Ooh…Jared Leto from the TV show My So Called Life…I was so disappointed when it ended. Also, Christian Slater in the movie Gleaming the Cube…so mysterious and that voice!
6. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?
My mom’s French Silk Pie…Yum!
7. Stranded on a beach, what 3 things (not people) do you bring along?
A survival guide with built in notebook, sunglasses, …
8. Silver or gold?
Mostly silver, but lately I have been wearing a lot of gold.
9. Do you believe in miracles?
Most definitely!
10. What would you rather not be caught doing – which you do, of course?
So embarrassed to admit this…Hopefully some of you do this too! I Sneak into my kids candy stash when they’re not looking, but ration how much candy they can have. I eat all the stuff I like first. I know, shame on me!
11. If time travel existed and you could change an event in your past what would it be?
When I was 18, my 16 year old sister was killed in a tragic car accident. If I could change the results of any day in my past, she would still be here.

1. What is your favorite piece of art in your home?
We recovered the fireplace wall in our living room with a mosaic of old doors and it turned out to be an artpiece in itself.
2. If you could do a major overhaul to one space in your house what would it be?
My craft room needs lots of help!
3. What is your favorite kind of gum or mint?
Trident Mint Bliss…a delicious combination of mint and vanilla.
4. What are your top 3 favorite Trader Joe’s items? If you don’t shop at Trader Joe’s what are your favorites from your regular grocery store?
Trader Joe’s is so far from where I live that I have never been there. At my local grocery store, I love their homemade chicken salad, fried chicken and knowing the butcher so we can have our meat cut just how we like it.
5. How would you describe your decorating style?
Country Chic
6. What are your favorite colors to wear? What are your favorite colors to decorate with? Are they the same as your general favorite colors?
Wear: Turquoise, melon and gray. Decorate with: Turquoise, melon, lime, yellow…I love color! Basically the same, but I haven’t gotten into the gray wall trend.
7. What’s your favorite lip balm or lip gloss?
Beauti Control lip balm with SPF
8. Name a pet peeve.
When I can hear people chew their food.
9. What kind of music do you listen to?
Depends on my mood…mostly Country, some Pop/Top 40, sometimes Folk and Bluegrass. I like to understand the words so I can sing along.
10. What’s your beverage of choice?
Non-Alcoholic: Diet Dr. Pepper
Alcoholic: Mojito
11. Where is your favorite place to shop?
For Myself: It’s been so long since I shopped anywhere besides Target or Kohl’s…Love Nordstrom if money was no object!
For my home: Nell Hill’s for inspiration, then head to TJ Maxx to recreate the look on my budget.
